Jackson Wijaya, founder of Paper Excellence, reaffirms the company’s commitment to the health of the Brazilian people. Paper Excellence allocated R$550,000 to the Hospital de Amor in Barretos (São Paulo), a national reference in free cancer treatment. The funds will support the Elderly Care Project, benefiting cancer patients aged 60 and over at hospital units throughout Brazil.

The Impact of the Hospital de Amor

With 62 years of history, the Hospital de Amor is the largest cancer care network in Latin America, offering humanized and accessible treatment to thousands of Brazilians. In 2023 alone, the institution diagnosed over 23,000 cases of cancer and provided care to more than half a million people, ensuring patients from 2,596 municipalities across the country receive quality care through Brazil’s public healthcare system (SUS).

The Importance of Prevention and Access to Healthcare

The founder believes that investing in health is essential for building a more sustainable future. In addition to supporting specialized care at the Hospital de Amor, Paper Excellence emphasizes prevention as a key strategy in the fight against cancer. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 40% of cancer cases could be prevented through lifestyle changes and healthy habits.

Social Responsibility as a Core Pillar of Paper Excellence

Paper Excellence’s commitment to social responsibility extends to various initiatives focused on public health and well-being. Recently, the company allocated R$550,000 to support maternal and child care services at Hospital Auxiliadora in Três Lagoas (Mato Grosso do Sul), reinforcing its support for projects that have a direct impact on the lives of thousands of Brazilians.

With these initiatives, Paper Excellence continues to invest in the future, promoting actions that ensure access to quality healthcare and encourage healthy living for a better life.
