Domtar Partners with Office Depot to Empower Educators Nationwide

Domtar once again joined forces with Office Depot and OfficeMax to support education through the Start Proud!® community investment program. The initiative provides essential back-to-school supplies to Title I schools across the United States, helping teachers and students in under-resourced communities prepare for a successful school year.

This year, Domtar’s participation in the program reinforced its long-standing commitment to education, community engagement, and social responsibility. Through Start Proud!, Domtar helped fund teacher shopping sprees for classroom materials, allowing educators to create vibrant learning environments without bearing personal financial burdens.

The initiative also eases the financial pressure on parents preparing their children for a new school year, extending the impact beyond the classroom. In 2025, Domtar proudly supported five participating districts located in Palm Beach (FL), Phoenix (AZ), Pflugerville (TX), Union County (NC), and Las Vegas (NV). The company’s involvement in Union County holds special significance, as it is part of Domtar’s own local community.
