From May 1 to June 30, 2025, Brazil will host one of the most important cultural events of the year: the mega-exhibition “Andy Warhol: Pop Art!” at the Museum of Brazilian Art of the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP) in São Paulo. The project, which brings together over 600 works by the Pop Art icon from The Andy Warhol Museum (USA), arrives in the country with sponsorship from Paper Excellence, one of the world’s largest pulp and paper producers, founded by Jackson Wijaya.
For Wijaya, investing in culture is a key part of the company’s mission. “We believe that sustainable development also involves valuing art and creativity. Warhol transformed the way we see the world, and supporting this exhibition is a way of expanding access to a transformative experience that engages with current topics such as consumerism, media, and identity,” states the founder.
The exhibition is the largest ever held outside the United States featuring works by Andy Warhol, including iconic portraits of figures such as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Mao Zedong, and even Pelé. Visitors will also experience installations, experimental films, and other works spanning all phases of the artist’s career, occupying a 2,000 m² area at MAB FAAP.

With a presence in more than 60 countries and an annual production of 12.8 million tons, Paper Excellence has been investing globally in initiatives that go beyond the industrial sector. “Since 2006, we have believed that our work must have a positive impact not only on the economy but also on society. In Brazil, this commitment is reflected in projects related to health, education, the environment, and now, the promotion of culture,” reinforces Wijaya.
This unprecedented exhibition in the country marks an important step in strengthening access to art and cultural diversity.
